Congratulations to our 2011 Winners!

It’s time for the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation’s 14th Annual Save Our Lake & Coast Fishing Rodeo! Fish anywhere in the Pontchartrain Basin. The Basin area includes bayous, rivers and tributaries of Lakes Pontchartrain, Maurepas, St. Catherine, Borgne and Breton Sound. We're very pleased to announce that this year's Honorary Chairman is Chef John Besh!

We have exciting news this year!

The Weigh Station and Awards Presentation will be held at the 22nd Annual Back to the Beach Festival at Laketown in Kenner. Participants can fish on Friday, June 3rd, and Saturday, June 4th. Bring your catch to the Festival for weigh-in (see details below) and enjoy the all of the festivities, food, music and arts and crafts the Festival has to offer.

Youth Rod and Reel*
WWL-TV Channel 4 is generously sponosoring a free youth rod and reel for the first 75 children (under 16) registered in the Rodeo.

Adult Early Bird Special*
Adults who register on or before May 15th will receive a free Daiwa D Shock rod and reel (valued at $40). You can meet the Early Bird deadline and pick up your rod and reel by registering at the Back to the Beach Kickoff Party (May 13) and at Chag's Sporting Goods (May 13-15).

Fishing Seminar
Captains Dudley Vandenborre and C. T. Williams will hold a Fishing Seminar on Friday, June 3rd at 6 PM at the Festival site.

Youth Activity Tent
The tent will be open on Saturday, June 4th from 3-6 PM. Come meet the Klieberts of the original "Swamp People." The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries will provide activities for kids including fish prints, shark jaws and even otoliths (fish earbones) that can be viewed with a microscope.

Fee includes entry into the Fishing Rodeo and Awards Presentation, 2 Back to the Beach Festival Tickets, a Rodeo t-shirt and a 1-year Membership to the LPBF.
