14th Annual Save Our Lake & Coast Fishing Rodeo

This year’s rodeo will be held on Saturday, May 15th & Sunday May 16th.  We are thrilled to announce that the event has moved to the New Canal Lighthouse site at West End on Lakeshore Dr.  This is the first time LPBF has had the opportunity to host a weigh station and awards picnic at a facility that we call our own.  The event encourages both adults and children to fish in the Pontchartrain Basin area, which includes the bayous, rivers & tributaries of Lakes Pontchartrain, Maurepas, St. Catherine, Borgne & Breton Sound.   

In addition to the many categories and ways to win, we are introducing two new categories this year - The Biggest Crab and a 5 speckle trout stringer. Our awards picnic will be held on Sunday, May 16th at 2:00 PM.  Participants will enjoy food, beverages, and a fun family atmosphere to view the fishermen’s catches.  Our Masters of Ceremonies, Don Dubuc and Todd Masson, are scheduled to start presenting awards to the winners at 3:30 PM.  Read more here!
